EUROPE´S FINEST PRESENTATION IN FINLAND 2.-4.12.2008

Europe's Finest is the first cross border 'Cinema on Demand' service for digital theatrical distribution for European cinemas.
The catalogue focuses on film classics and back catalogue titles by major European directors. Europe's Finest titles are to be made available at an 'on demand' basis, allowing cinemas to decide when and how often they prefer to screen the films. All films are offered in 2K resolution and are suitable for any digital projection system which is capable of playing back DCI-compliant format content. Other formats may be delivered upon request.
One of the central aims of Europe's Finest is to conserve cultural film heritage while providing digital cinemas with unique and alternative film content.
Europe's Finest is supported by the MEDIA programme of the EU.
The Pirkanmaa Film Centre is a close partner of Europe´s Finest in Finland. The presentation and Europe´s Finest screenings are organized in co-operation with Bio Rex Cinemas.

Europe´s Finest esittäytyy 2.-4.12. suomalaiselle elokuva-alalle ja kertoo miten digitaalinen elokuvien levitys muuttaa tapoja levittää myös vanhempia elokuvia.
Pirkanmaan elokuvakeskus on Europe´s Finest hankkeen suomalainen partneri. Hankkeen esittely ja Europe´s Finest -esitykset järjestetään yhteistyössä Bio Rex Cinemasin kanssa.
